If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, its probably a duck. The terrorist attacks in Paris, France last week make it clear that the time has come to call a spade a spade.
Terrorism is not the enemy. Terrorism is a tactic of warfare. ‘War on Terror’ doesn’t begin to describe the enemy that vows to destroy western civilization; nor does ‘workplace violence’ or ‘extremist violence’ or ‘overseas contingency operation’ …. as the Administration of the 44th President of the Unites States of America refers to Islamic extremism.
The media is not helping the situation either. So-called journalist, Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC, exposed her true sentiments when she asked the French Ambassador to the United States “Why Are Provocative Anti-Muslim Cartoons Permitted?” As if the Charlie Hebdo cartoons were the problem. One would think that a true journalist would support free-speech in all its forms. Commonsense tells me that appeasement will not work any better today than it did in 1938 when Neville Chamberlain appeased the Nazis by negotiating the infamous Munich Agreement.
Its about time that the United States of America got serious about defeating radical Islamic miltants. Identifying them for who and what they are would be a good start. Duh!
