Limitations of the Telephone & Pen Presidency

The 44th President of the United States of America is fond of saying he does not need the U.S. Congress to make law because he has executive power which can be exercised with a telephone and pen, apparently without limit.

One limit is the U.S.  Supreme Court. In NLRB v. Noel Canning  decided June 26, 2014,  the high Court unanimously decided that the 44th President of the United States of America overstepped  the bounds of  legitimate constitutional executive power to make   recess appointments to the National Labor Relations Board at a time when the U.S. Senate was not in recess. This is not the first time the high Court has disagreed with the views of the administration of the 44th President of the United States of America, which has an abysmal record before the high Court, now including two more losses decided today in the Hobby Lobby and Quinn decisions.

Commonsense tells me that the next President of the United States also will also have a telephone and pen which can be used to undo any executive order issued by a previous administration, although it will take more than the stroke of a pen or a telephone call for the next President to undo the damage done  to the American way of life in virtually every  area  addressed by the administration of the  44th President of the United states of America.

Have a nice Day!
