Scandal after Scandal – Too Fast & Furious

Over the weekend, I attended the air show at the Arnold Palmer Airport in Latrobe, Pennsylvania featuring the Navy Blue Angels and other military and civilian precision flying teams. It was nice to see the large turnout of veterans and plain ordinary folks and their families celebrating American airpower and prowess and to observe all of them standing at attention for the pledge of allegiance and the singing of our national anthem that opened the show each day. I thought what a contrast to the recent action of the 44th President of the United States of America releasing five high-ranking terrorists in exchange for Sargeant Bowe Bergdahl, who spent five years in captivity under Taliban control in Afghanistan.

According to his fellow soldiers, Berdahl is a disserter who did not serve with honor and distinction as Susan Rice, National Security Advisor proclaimed on national television. And it is clear the 44th President of the United States of America not only did not follow established congressional protocol in deciding to make the swap but violated the long standing, bipartisan policy of the United States not to negotiate with terrorists.

After the ATF gun-walking scandal, the IRS targeting scandal, the NSA spying scandal, the Benghazi  cover-up scandal, the Affordable Care Act  rollout scandal, the VA hospital scandal, and now the Bergdahl trade, I have to just scratch my head and wonder whether this administration is just incompetent or whether something more dangerous and sinister is at play, now that the 44th President of the United States of America is not facing reelection.

Commonsense tells me that these numerous scandals are too fast and furious to be dismissed as the product of incompetence. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn now and then. Is the 44th President of the United States of America now on a mission hell-bent to accomplish his stated goal to fundamentally transform America before his term of office expires? Americans of every political persuasion should be worried about what kind of transformation the 44th President of the United States of America really has in mind.
